Dvara E-Dairy is focused on solving problems of dairy farmers by deploying new-age technologies and providing access to financial services. It creates synergy between dairy farmers and lending institutions and assists them to make informed decisions. The solutions will help dairy farmers to track the health of cattle and improve income.

The Head of Business Development is a full-time leadership role. Working in conjunction with the Director of Dvara E-Dairy, the role is expected to lead efforts towards acquisition of channel partners while offering account management/technical support with other members of the Senior Leadership and Management Team and to propose and co-ordinate agreed strategies for the development of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactive engagement with existing and potential channel partners for the effective delivery of agreed budgets and targets.
  • Proactive engagement with existing and potential channel partners for sales and marketing and account management.
  • Proactive engagement with community leaders, heads of businesses, government channels.
  • Initiate, structure, and negotiate strategic partnerships with Financial Service Providers (including MFIs) Dairy farms, government channel, milk aggregators and stakeholders in the dairy economy for various financial and dairy management products.
  • In agreement with the Director, create and implement sales plans to grow income in target user market and geographic sectors.
  • Working with Product Managers to agree positioning strategies for product lines.
  • Through in-depth understanding of user needs, identify new opportunities and markets
  • Responsible for work planning against objectives set in agreement with the Executive Director.
  • Represent and promote the interests of the company through external conferences and digital mediums
  • Participate in and encourage the activities of the company in external consortiums
  • Ensure effective internal communications both within the external facing functions and across the organization.
  • Provide monthly financial forecasts
  • Ensure that the skills of team members are constantly updated and current
  • Encourage team members to attend conferences and meetings and continuously grow the pipeline
  • Comply with all relevant policies and procedures
  • Ability to work in a start-up environment
